Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) is the largest operating company in the TransLink enterprise. Randy is responsible for oversight of the Maintenance Division, which includes Fleet Technical Support, Fleet Maintenance, Infrastructure Engineering, and SeaBus Engineering and Operations. In 2020, CMBC delivered 5.8M service hours, drove 113M kms and moved 139M passengers in the Greater Vancouver Region of British Columbia.

Randy is also the CMBC lead for TransLink’s Low Carbon Fleet Strategy where in 2018 TransLink formally adopted their organizational goals to achieve an 80% reduction in green house gas emissions and utilize 100% renewable energy in all operations by 2050. He has been with CMBC for the past 5 years.

Prior to joining CMBC, Randy worked in Ontario in the municipal sector, as Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Prescott and Director of Infrastructure for the Municipality of West Nipissing. He has also held various engineering roles in health care, utilities, consulting and post-secondary sectors.

Randy attended Lakehead University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered engineer in British Columbia and Ontario.
