Types of Membership

Membership is valid from January 1 – December 31 of each calendar year. Membership applies to the parent company and includes global representation.

Industry

Industry Members can engage in all CUTRIC membership services and attend all CUTRIC Members-only Committees, including the monthly Zero-Emissions Bus (ZEB) Committee and the bi-monthly Power Providers and Utilities (PPU) Transit Decarbonization Committee.

Industry Members can engage directly in CUTRIC commercial project proposals, funding activities and project development, including major initiatives like CUTRIC’s National Smart Vehicle (AV) shuttle project, it’s emerging “Phase Two” hydrogen fuel cell bus project, and its new national ACES Data Trust initiative for transit data.

Industry Members can engage in CUTRIC’s federal Five Point Plan for federal technology funding initiatives focused on the transit industry. CUTRIC facilitates complex technological project management and pursues funding support through competitive and unsolicited bids on behalf of its Members.

Fees are based on the number of global employees.

 

Transit System

Transit Members can engage in all CUTRIC membership services and attend all CUTRIC Members-only Committees, including the monthly Zero-Emissions Bus (ZEB) Committee and the bi-monthly Power Providers and Utilities (PPU) Transit Decarbonization Committee.

Transit Members can engage directly in CUTRIC commercial project proposals, funding activities and project development, including major initiatives like CUTRIC’s National Smart Vehicle (AV) shuttle project, it’s emerging “Phase Two” hydrogen fuel cell bus project, and its new national ACES Data Trust initiative for transit data, among others.

Transit Agency Members lead CUTRIC’s Zero-Emissions Bus™ (CUTZEB) Joint Procurement Initiative starting in 2022. Transit Agency Members can engage in CUTRIC’s federal Five Point Plan for federal technology funding initiatives focused on the transit industry.

Transit Agencies also learn and compare the costs and benefits of alternative propulsion technology for fleets depending on individual Transit Agency conditions through CUTRIC’s RoutΣ.i™ 3.0 tool kit and other allied low-carbon and zero-emissions analytical tools.

CUTRIC facilitates complex technological project management and pursues funding support through competitive and unsolicited bids on behalf of its Members.

Fees are based on the number of vehicles in operation (all modes of transportation including conventional, trolleys, streetcars, and specialized).

 

Utility

Utility Members can engage in all CUTRIC membership services and attend all CUTRIC Members-only Committees, including the monthly Zero-Emissions Bus (ZEB) Committee and the bi-monthly Power Providers and Utilities (PPU) Transit Decarbonization Committee.

Utility Members can engage directly in CUTRIC commercial project proposals, funding activities and project development, including major initiatives like CUTRIC’s National Smart Vehicle (AV) shuttle project, it’s emerging “Phase Two” hydrogen fuel cell bus project, and its new national ACES Data Trust initiative for transit data.

Utility Members can engage in CUTRIC’s federal Five Point Plan for federal technology funding initiatives focused on the transit industry.

Fees are based on the number of customers.

 

Consultancy & Construction
(Non-Technology Developer, Non-Manufacturer, Non-Integrator)

Consulting Members can engage in all CUTRIC membership services and attend all CUTRIC Members-only Committees, including the monthly Zero-Emissions Bus (ZEB) Committee and the bi-monthly Power Providers and Utilities (PPU) Transit Decarbonization Committee. 

Consulting Members can engage directly in CUTRIC commercial project proposals, funding activities and project development, including major initiatives like CUTRIC’s National Smart Vehicle (AV) shuttle project, it’s emerging “Phase Two” hydrogen fuel cell bus project, and its new national ACES Data Trust initiative for transit data. 

Consulting Members can engage in CUTRIC’s federal Five Point Plan for federal technology funding initiatives focused on the transit industry.

CUTRIC facilitates complex technological project management and pursues funding support through competitive and unsolicited bids on behalf of its Members. CUTRIC often co-bids with consulting members. 

Fees are based on the number of global employees.

 

Academic Institution

Academic Members can engage in all CUTRIC membership services and attend all CUTRIC Members-only Committees, including the monthly Zero-Emissions Bus (ZEB) Committee and the bi-monthly Power Providers and Utilities (PPU) Transit Decarbonization Committee.

Academic Members can engage directly in CUTRIC research projects. CUTRIC frequently co-funds MITACS and other federally-funded projects as an industry investor.

Academic Members can engage in CUTRIC’s federal Five Point Plan for federal research funding initiatives focused on the transit industry.

The fees are based on the total number of students (full-time and part-time).
